United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) was established in order to create a global development network. UNDP focuses on ensuring the eradication of poverty, energy, environment, social development, crisis recovery, empowerment of women, and the minimization of inequalities through providing expert advice, training, and granting support for building resilience in order to maintain development results. Accordingly, UNDP particularly considers the areas including sustainable development, democratic governance and peacebuilding, climate and disaster resilience to aid the states by building and sharing the solutions and works internationally to accomplish the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals. UNDP is funded by willful commitments from Member States and the organization works in 177 nations in which the local governments contribute to meet development challenges and enrich the local development capacity.
